Career Opportunities with a Major in Environmental Science

Many jobs require a college educated individual. College graduates can use their education in a wide variety of occupations.

The Environmental Science major provides students a solid foundation in environmental science plus emphasis areas in water, hazardous materials and biological restoration. There is a great need in the workplace for people who have an Environmental Science background, particularly in conjunction with other areas of expertise.

SKILLS RELATED TO ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE

  • Ability to organize, analyze and interpret scietific data and apply to the solution of a problem
  • Sound decision-making abilities
  • Proficient in oral and written communications with ability to explain concepts to others
  • Knowledge of environmental history, practices, and trends
