The Summer Science Scholars is a program developed primarily for junior and senior high school students. The three-week program will demonstrate hands-on science and mathematics activities, aimed at helping students develop better reasoning skills in those areas. Graduates of this program who are members of eligible under-represented minority groups and who go on to matriculate at a college or university are encouraged participate in the Colorado Alliance for Minority Participation, a program designed to improve performance in college courses in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics degree programs.
Students who complete participation in the three--week program will receive a $20/day stipend. Daily attendance is required. All activities are supervised.
