Advice:
You should not take more than three science and/or math courses per semester. Despite what others may say, NEVER take a course without the proper prerequisites, there is simply no sense in putting yourself at an academic disadvantage in order to meet some artificial deadline. Remember, individuals evaluating a transcript will not be impressed by mediocre grades just because you managed to pass the course without the prerequisites. In the unlikely event the evaluator notices the discrepancy, it will probably count against you, as demonstrating poor judgment.
If you previously planned to take the Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, and later decide to add the ACS certification the following courses must be included in conjunction with the Bachelor of Science degree.
COURSE | COURSE NAME | CREDIT HRS |
|
|---|---|---|---|
Inorganic
Chemistry | .......... | 3 |
|
Instrumental
Analysis | .......... | 3 |
|
Instrumental
Analysis Laboratory | .......... | 2 |
|
|
Advanced Inorganic Chemistry | ........... | 3 |
An additional six hours of advanced level electives should be selected in consultation with the Chemistry Department. The following courses may be appropriate: CHE 4010, 4020, and 4320.
