Bachelor of Science in Chemistry

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the B. S. in Chemistry, the student will:

  1. Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of:
    1. General Chemistry
    2. Analytical Chemistry
    3. Organic Chemistry, and
    4. Physical Chemistry .
  2. Have advanced knowledge in Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Biochemistry or Environmental Chemistry.
  3. Be skilled in the use of Scifinder Scholar and other databases for searches of the chemical literature .
  4. Be able to write a laboratory report which follows American Chemical Society guidelines.
