Jordan addresses funding crisis at town hall meeting

President Stephen Jordan today presented to more than 200 faculty and staff  an overview of the most current information regarding the higher education funding crisis and its impact on Metro State.

President Stephen Jordan will hold a town hall meeting on Thursday to discuss the continuing higher education funding crisis and its impact on Metro State, particularly once the one-time federal stimulus dollars are no longer available. The meeting will be from 8:30-10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19 at the King Center Concert Hall.

The Division of Information Technology has two substantial projects planned for early 2010: the upgrade to Banner 8 and the migration to Microsoft Exchange as the e-mail/calendaring system for faculty and staff.

The Office of Sponsored Research and Programs (OSRP) salutes those faculty and staff principal investigators (PIs) who have received project funding that exceeds $50,000. From Fiscal Year 2004-05 through Fiscal Year 2008-09, 22 PIs have had projects funded, for a total of $33,990,338.
