Metro State students are invited to attend next week’s auditions for “Nickel and Dimed,” by Joan Holden.
Based on the book by Barbara Ehrenreich, the play is a comic epic
about whether a middle-aged, middle-class woman can survive working
low-wage jobs. Affiliate Professor Christy Montour-Larson will direct.
Auditions in the Metro State Studio Theatre in the King Center will be held:
• Thursday, Aug. 20, 4-8 p.m.
• Friday, Aug. 21, 4-6:30 p.m.
• Call Backs: Friday, Aug. 21, 7-9:30 p.m.
Ten to 15 roles are available for actors of all ages, abilities and
cultural backgrounds. Students of color are especially encouraged to
audition. No experience necessary.
Rehearsals are tentatively set to begin Aug. 24, Monday-Friday, 4-9
p.m. The production dates are Oct. 1-3 and 8-10 at 7:30 p.m., and Oct.
11 at 2:30 p.m.
