Progress report: A look back on President Jordan’s first three years

President Stephen Jordan is rounding the corner on his third year at
the helm of Metro State and just signed on for at least another three
years (see http://www.mscd.edu/~collcom/artman/publish/jordan_twv5050808.shtml).
In announcing his contract renewal, the Board of Trustees praised
Jordan’s progress toward achieving several goals for the College.

The Faculty Evaluation Steering Committee (P4P) is wrapping up for the
academic year. We presented the draft pay for performance evaluation
guidelines to the Faculty Senate on April 9, and the Board of Trustees
will receive an update of our progress on May 7.

In the 5/1/08 Metro State of Mind podcast, “I just wanted to get
out,” Hadidja Nyiransekuye’s named was misspelled. And in the 4/16/08
article, “Alumni Association announces 2008 award winners,” Rep. Joe
Rice should have been listed as having served three tours of duty in
Iraq. @Metro regrets these errors.

Equity Scorecard Project enters its second phase

A team of Metro State faculty and staff is taking a deeper look at
issues of equity for students of color at the College. The Equity
Scorecard Project Task Force at Metro State launched phase two of the
project last week, with a two-day meeting on campus.
