President Stephen Jordan will hold a town hall meeting on Thursday to discuss the continuing higher education funding crisis and its impact on Metro State, particularly once the one-time federal stimulus dollars are no longer available. The meeting will be from 8:30-10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19 at the King Center Concert Hall.

The Office of Sponsored Research and Programs (OSRP) salutes those faculty and staff principal investigators (PIs) who have received project funding that exceeds $50,000. From Fiscal Year 2004-05 through Fiscal Year 2008-09, 22 PIs have had projects funded, for a total of $33,990,338.

Financial advisor Mark J. Smith delivers talk on Monday

On Monday, 5:30 to 7 p.m., Metro State’s Finance Department and student Financial Management Association are sponsoring a talk called “Corporate and Personal Financial Planning in a Changing Economy,” featuring Mark J. Smith. The event will be held in TIV 444.
