Center for Visual Art has a new home

It’s official. Metropolitan State College of Denver Foundation has closed on the nearly $1.5 million purchase of 965 Santa Fe Drive to house its renowned off-campus art gallery, the Center for Visual Art.

Symphonic Band performs Tuesday

The Metro State Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble and Concert/Community Band, directed by David Kish and Gerald Endsley, will perform on Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 7:30 p.m. at the King Center Concert Hall.

More than 500 campus and community members attended Friday’s “Sharing the Freedom: A Concert of Remembrance and Hope,” hosted by Metro State and the United States Air Force Academy Band’s Falconaires.

There are two ways you can get involved with Metro State’s Center for Visual Art in the coming weeks: take in the new exhibition on Native American legacies in contemporary art, and vote for the CVA as Denver’s best gallery in an online poll.
