Finalists for CAVEA director to appear at open forums

Four finalists have been named for the position of director of the Center for Advanced Visualization and Experiential Analysis (CAVEA).

Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to attend open sessions that will be held for each candidate.

CAVEA combines a theater with advanced technology that allows users in business, education, government and the nonprofit sector make better decisions through the use of computer modeling and simulation. MSU Denver students will learn to run the technology through courses and internships and CAVEA will be used by faculty members for their classes and to pursue research.

Following are the schedules for each:

Raymond Uzwyshyn, director of online libraries for the American Public University System, Oct. 31, 1:30 – 2:30 p.m., SSB 330C

Shawna McBride, associate director of the Wyoming NASA space grant consortium and the Wyoming NASA EPSCoR program at the University of Wyoming, Nov. 1, 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.,SSB 440A

Susan Lowrance, Ph.D candidate, Institute of Ecology, University of Georgia and most recently public service associate in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and the Institute of Government at UGA, Nov. 8, 1:30 – 2:30 p.m., SSB 330C

Karla Brown, president of The PR Company, Nov. 9, 9:30 – 10:30 a.m., SSB 324
