The Metropolitan State College of Denver Foundation, Inc. has
received a gift of $200,000 to benefit business majors at Metro State.
The Paul G. Davidson Endowed Scholarship, named for its founder, will
grant four awards each year to recipients who meet the following
criteria:
- Declared major within the School of Business
- FAFSA documentation of financial need
- Colorado resident, with preference shown toward students coming from outside the Denver metropolitan area
- Maintenance of 2.5 GPA minimum while receiving scholarship
- 12 credit hours per semester
The scholarship is renewable each semester (including summer) for up to five years.
When Paul Davidson, a Colorado native, started Equipment
Specialties Company in 1956, he came to value a business education
first hand. He successfully ran his industrial sales company until his
death and now, with his bequest to Metro State, will help others obtain
an education in business. It was his hope “that others can obtain a
business education and have equal success in the business world.”
