The MSU Denver community is encouraged to sign up for the University’s emergency notification system (ENS), which will now join other outlets in announcing Auraria Campus closures due to inclement weather.

Activation of the ENS to alert subscribers of a campus snow closure is new this year. Closure information and updates will also be publicized in the news section on the @MSU Denver homepage, local TV and radio stations, the Auraria website and the Campus Information Line (303-556-2401).

Any decision to close the campus due to inclement weather will be announced by 5 a.m.

A mid-day closure would follow similar procedures with the addition of issuing a campus-wide voice mail message.

The ENS notifies subscribers via SMS text message of any campus emergency, such as an active shooter or a building evacuation. There is no fee to subscribe, however, depending on your carrier plan, standard or text-messaging charges may apply. Subscribe here.
