This coming week, you can see the amazing technology available at the Access Center, learn about starting your own business, or sign up for the Sports Sales Workshop.

Access Center Open House
The Access Center for Disabilities will host an Open House on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 9 a.m.-noon, in celebration of Disability Awareness Month. The College community is invited to drop by and meet the staff, learn about the center’s services and ask any questions they may have. Refreshments will be served. The Access Center is located in the Auraria Library, suite 116.

Starting a business
The Center for Innovation and the Collegiate Entrepreneurship Organization are sponsoring a presentation by Kimberly Lucas, founder and chief people connector at Goldstone Partners, Inc. , on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 4:30-5:30 p.m., in the Tivoli Turnhalle. “How to Start Your Own Business and be a Successful Entrepreneur” will be an open discussion. The event is free and open.

Sports Sales Workshop and Job Fair
The Metro State Marketing Department will hold its 2nd Annual Sports Sale Workshop and Job Fair on Friday, Nov. 13. The event will feature keynote speaker Charlie Chislaghi, president of Sports Sales Consulting, who is considered one of the premier sports sales trainers in the country. Sales executives from the NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, MLS and more will provide training.

The event will be held at the Pepsi Center in the morning and at the Tivoli in the afternoon. Advance registration by Nov. 1 is $60, after which $70 registration will be available if space allows. The cost includes breakfast, lunch, three training sessions and the Job Fair.
