Financial aid award notices to be sent this week
Apr 6, 2009

The Office of Financial Aid will begin notifying Metro State students of their financial aid awards for the 2009-10 academic year by the end of this week.

According to Financial Aid Director Cindy Hejl, the administration’s recent decision to switch to the Federal Direct Loan Program (DL) has resulted in a three-week delay in preparing the financial aid packages. (To read more, go to http://www.mscd.edu/~collcom/artman/publish/loans_twv6040109.shtml.)

“We typically prepare the packages by mid-March,” Hejl explains, “but with the switch to DL, which will better meet our students’ needs, we needed extra time. We’ll be sending the award notices by this Friday.”
