The fourth annual Denver Food and Wine Classic, the largest
single-day food and wine tasting experience in Denver, is set to take
over campus on Sunday.
The event, designed to raise funds for a number of organizations
including Metro State’s Hospitality, Tourism and Events (HTE) program,
will feature more than 300 wines and spirits, cuisine from more than 30
of Denver’s finest restaurants, a wine auction, steel chef competition
and culinary demonstrations.
John Dienhart, chair of the College’s HTE program, said that Metro
State plans to be well represented at the event by a number of HTE
students and faculty members.
More than 3,500 food and wine enthusiasts are expected for Sunday’s
event that runs from 1-5 p.m. Tickets are $55 and include wine, spirit
and food sample tastes. To purchase tickets online or for more
