Administrative Computing has resolved the issues around ConnectU and email with the exception of two continuing concerns.
“We would like everyone to know that we are very appreciative of their patience as we work through the start-up issues with our new ConnectU portal.” says Rick Beck, director of application services in Administrative Computing.
Email icons
There continues to be an issue with users seeing either the wrong email icon or no icons. The vendor, Ellucian, is providing technical support and recommends multiple changes that require a re-start of ConnectU each time. Administrative Computing expects that several re-starts may be needed before the issue is fully resolved.
Student passwords
The second issue involves student passwords defaulting back to the PIN when accounts were moved to ConnectU. Students who cannot log in to ConnectU with their old MetroConnect password are asked to first look up their PIN (instructions on the login page) and try logging in with it before submitting a Help Desk ticket to have their password reset.
MetroConnect
