Progress has been made over the last several days in resolving issues that are affecting MSU Denver’s new portal, ConnectU, as well as the University’s 600 Lyris lists.

After a short planned outage Friday night, faculty, staff and students should encounter fewer problems logging into ConnectU. However, there is a continuing issue with the Calendar, which Administrative Computing and the portal vendor are working on.

IT reports that more than 39,000 logins to ConnectU took place Friday through Sunday and the usage continues upward today.

If you are having any trouble involving the new portal, you are asked to either submit a Help Desk ticket or call 303-352-7548.

Lyris lists
The “all” Lyris lists, including all-faculty, all-administrator, all-classified staff and all-student, are now working properly. However, Administrative Computing is continuing to work on the academic major Lyris lists that departments use, and some of the 236 list administrators may still be receiving a bounce-back message. The problem involves needing to update the email address for both the list administrators and those on the list.

Administrative Computing is developing a set of instructions for the Lyris list administrators who have a customized list so that they will be able to add the username@msudenver.edu accounts themselves. The instructions will be emailed to list administrators and posted on Got U.

Email
Faculty, staff and students who have not yet done so should notify their contacts of the new email address, username@msudenver.edu. If you have an email profile with an outside entity that has the old address, remember to change that as well.

Reflecting our change to university status, my email address is now username@msudenver.edu. Please update your records. Thank you.
