In response to a growing interest among faculty and staff in the grant-writing process, the Office of Sponsored Research and Programs this semester is introducing the Grant Partnering Support (GPS) Program.
The GPS will bring two individuals together to work on a grant. Unlike previous partnering/mentoring programs, the grant-writing experience of the partners can be at any level, says Executive Director Gwendolyn Mami.
“We now have two writers, Michele Lacey and Alyssa Von Lehman-Lopez, to help the teams, one specializing in private/foundation grants, the other on public grants,” she says. “We’re hoping the program acronym helps faculty and staff to understand our role: The GPS Program is designed to point you in the right direction.”
Each team will receive an incentive of $2,000.
Applications will be posted on the OSRP website by Aug. 26. They will need to be turned in by Sept. 10, and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
