College offers first Grad Fair
Oct 8, 2008

Several College offices are coming together to offer a first-ever Grad Fair, with food, prizes and information for seniors who are graduating this fall.

The fair, Oct. 14-15, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Tivoli Multicultural Lounge, will be a one-stop event to purchase or learn about graduation-related merchandise including photos, rings and announcements. And students will be able to order the new caps and gowns in the Metro State colors (see http://www.mscd.edu/~collcom/artman/publish/regalia_twv6091008.shtml).

The Alumni Relations Office will provide information about Metro State license plates, a temporary health insurance program and more. Other offices attending include Career Services, the Registrar, Intercollegiate Athletics and Institutional Advancement.

Vendors such as the Credit Union of Denver, Axa Advisors and Liberty Mutual will be on-hand for financial and home, life and auto insurance information.

Derrick Haynes, director of the Student Academic Success program, will present information about graduate school.

Another fair is planned for March, targeting seniors who will graduate in the spring.

For more information, contact Josh Anderson, assistant director of alumni programs and development, at 303-556-6934 or jande189@mscd.edu.
