We extend kudos this week to faculty, staff and students who continue to distinguish themselves and MSU Denver through their accomplishments.

MSU Denver Theatre Department faculty, students and graduates have garnered several awards and nominations for their work in 2012.

CultureWest.org 2012 True West Awards:
Affiliate faculty member Brian Freeland: Best Use of Multimedia for “Add it Up,” produced by his company, LIDA Project and the Best Sound Design for TheatreWorks’/Curious Theatre’s “The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity.”

Christy Montour-Larson: Best Drama for Curious Theatre’s “Red,” directed by Montour-Larson, and Best Production for “The Giver,” also directed by Montour-Larson.

Nominations also to went to Freeland and Montour Larson for the Theater Person of the Year, Associate Professor Jacob Welch and student Karl Jones for Best Lighting Design; students Drew Kowalkowski, Jeff Jesmer and Erika Kae for Best Scenic Design; and alumnus Rob Janzen for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical.
