Kudos
Feb 3, 2010

We extend kudos this week to faculty who continue to distinguish Metro State through their successes.

Visiting Professor of Management Bill Carnes has been nominated and named an associate editor for the Journal of Knowledge and Human Resource Management. He will be serving a three-year term.

Assistant Professor of Finance Juan Dempere and Associate Professor of Finance Ramon Griffin have had their paper "Forecasting housing demand using consumer attitudinal survey data: Could the housing bubble of 2006-2008 have been forecast?" accepted for presentation at the American Real Estate Society annual conference April 16, 2010 in Naples, Fla.

Assistant Professor of Political Science Robert Preuhs received the Pi Sigma Alpha Award from the Southwestern Political Science Association (SWPSA) for his co-authored paper, "A Different Kind of Representation: Black and Latino Descriptive Representation and the Role of Ideological Cuing." The Pi Sigma Alpha Award is given to the best paper presented at the previous year's meeting and will be presented at the 2010 SWPSA meeting in March.
