Metro State staff members are contributing their expertise through publications and presentations.

Director of Student Learning Sheila Thompson has co-authored a chapter titled Qualitative and Quantitative Methods as Complementary Assessment Tools in the recently published book, “Handbook of Research on Assessment Technologies, Methods, and Applications in Higher Education,” (edited by Christopher Schreiner, published by IGI Global). She also made a presentation with a colleague from the University of Northern Colorado at the recent American Association of University Professors international conference: Globalization, Shared Governance, and Academic Freedom. Her presentation was titled “Crafting and Using Outcome Statements as Communication Tools.”
