Sometimes the answer to a mystery is right before your eyes.
Take the case of the Metro State chain of office. Last week, @Metro asked if anyone knew who had created it and when it was given to Metro State. We didn’t get any answers.
But the mystery is solved! In anticipation of wearing the chain of office at the 2012 Spring Commencement on Sunday, President Stephen Jordan turned it over last Thursday and lo and behold, there was the answer engraved on the back: Given to Metropolitan State College by Serafin Sanchez of Sanchez International, Inc. on Nov. 30, 1983.
Now the only mystery that remains is who is Serafin Sanchez? This Week @Metro is trying to locate the artist; if we’re successful, we’ll let you know.
