The memorial service for Metro State Professor Emeritus Rachel B. Noel will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, March 2, at Shorter Community AME Church, 3100 Richard Allen Court (Richard Allen Ct. and Martin Luther King Blvd.).

The civil rights leader and former associate professor of sociology and chair of the Department of African American Studies passed away Feb. 4 at her daughter’s home in Calif.
