Private room for nursing moms opens in women’s institute
Aug 13, 2008

Metro State, in accordance with Colorado’s new law requiring workplace accommodations for nursing mothers, has created a room in the Institute for Women’s Studies and Services, 1033 Ninth St., for students, faculty and staff to use for the expression of breast milk.

The private room, which also has a refrigerator for milk storage, allows nursing mothers to pump in private using their own personal pump.

The room is open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

If you have any questions about this program, please contact Erika Church, 303-556-8441.
