Facilities Management is requestingthe Auraria Campus community’s
assistance with identifying specialty equipment within campus buildings
that might be affected by power outages.
The request was prompted by upcomingplanned power outages for the
construction of the addition to the Science Building, recent unexpected
campus electric outages, and in anticipation of future outages.
Specialty equipment includes, but is not limited to, lab
experiments, lab equipment, computer centers and/or other
power-sensitive equipment. Facilities Management is asking for
assistance identifying items that need to be checked after a power
outage.
Please provide the name and/or description of the equipment that may
be affected, the building name and room number where the equipment is
located,and your contact information (name, phone number and e-mail

Planned outage dates and times
The first two planned
outages for the summer of 2009 are tentatively scheduled for 10 p.m.
through 2 a.m. on the following dates:
• Outage 1: Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31
• Outage 2: Saturday, June 6, and Sunday, June 7
The power will be out for 15 minutes per building during these times.
More details and specifics on the planned outages will be sent to all users as the timeline for the outages solidifies.
