The Auraria Science Building project will necessitate power outages
on three separate occasions, Dec. 20-22, in all campus buildings except
for the Administration Building, the King Center and the Tivoli.
Auraria Facilities Management has scheduled the outages for times that
will have minimal impact on staff and work responsibilities.
The first scheduled electrical outages will occur on Sunday, Dec.
20, starting at 6 a.m. Facilities Management will take buildings off
line one building at a time, with the process taking approximately four
hours to complete. Each building will be without electricity for about
one minute. This means that people may not have the ability to remotely
access their computer after the power has been restored.
Departments with special equipment or concerns that equipment may
not turn on by itself after power is restored should contact Facilities
Management. They will work with areas to schedule the building outage
to allow for someone to be available to monitor their equipment.
The outage schedule is as follows:
Sunday, Dec. 20, 6 a.m.; completed by 10 a.m.
Monday, Dec. 21, 6:30 p.m.; completed by 4:30 a.m.
Tuesday, Dec. 22, 6:30 p.m.; completed by 1:30 a.m.
Should it become necessary to divert from the above schedule, the campus community will be notified.
