Auraria Police announces new deputy chief
Jun 3, 2009

Detective Sergeant Bobby Forrest has been promoted to deputy chief of the Auraria Police Department effective June 1, 2009. Forrest replaces John Egan, who retired at the end of May after 28 years of service.

Forrest brings a wealth of law enforcement experience to this management position. He has been a police sergeant with the New York University Police Department, a lieutenant with the Cherry Hills Police Department, and was chief of police for the Berthoud Police Department. Additionally, Forrest has worked as an investigator with the Colorado Attorney General’s Office and as a police agent and detective with the Lakewood Police Department.

The detective sergeant position vacated by Forrest has been frozen due to budget constraints.
