A female student from Community College of Denver has reported to
the Auraria Police Department that an unknown male “reached for her” in
an attempt to grab her as she exited a RTD light rail train today,
Wednesday, July 1, at the 10th and Colfax station.
The victim said that the incident, which occurred at approximately
12:30 p.m., began when she was confronted by the suspect, who was
sitting at the light rail station. The suspect told the victim to “come
with me” and reached to grab her arm. The victim immediately swatted
his arm away and ran off. She was not physically harmed.
The suspect is described as an African-American male, 6’1”, slender
build, approximately 20 years old.He was wearing black clothing, with
white stripes on the front of his shirt and a white “dew rag” on his
head. The suspect is still at large.
