| For their own reasons, the "Trace" artists' interests are in how the human body functions, copes, desires or heals. |
Take a look at the human body on a modern level through "TRACE (figurative)," the latest exhibition at the Metro State Center for Visual Art.
Running June 4 – Aug. 13, "TRACE" will feature nonrepresentational displays of the human figure by Nigel Poor, Denis Roussel, Heather Doyle-Maier and Jason Gimbel. Each artist brings a personal and unique approach to working with human figures and is interested in how the human body functions, copes, desires or heals to make art, according to CVA Director/Curator Jennifer Garner.
The Metro State community is invited to the opening reception and panel discussion on June 11 from 6 to 9 p.m.
The CVA, 1734 Wazee St., is open Tuesday- Friday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday from noon to 5 p.m.
