Optional life insurance enrollment ends this Friday

Enrollment for the FY10 optional life insurance for benefits-eligible classified employees ends this Friday, June 19, at 11:59 p.m.

The premiums (for coverage of employees, their spouses and their dependent children) are available at www.colorado.gov/dpa/dhr/benefits by clicking “Insurance Premiums” in the gray buttons on the left of the site. According to the College’s Office of Human Resources, premiums at many coverage levels have been reduced from last year’s (FY09) rates.

Employees needing assistance with usernames or passwords in the State’s Benefits Administration System (BAS) can try username and password recovery by clicking on “Forgot your password” on the BAS login page, under the “password” box; can contact the Office of Human Resources at 303-556-5029; or can contact the Technical Help Line at 1-888-460-9627. The help line can also answer questions about technical issues with the BAS.

As in previous open enrollments, any new enrollment for optional life insurance or any increase in coverage requested during the FY10 optional life enrollment requires completion of a medical history statement. Employees going through the enrollment will be automatically directed to this form.
