President Stephen Jordan announced Vicki Golich as the final candidate for the position of provost/vice president for academic affairs.

No offer has been made yet, as Jordan is awaiting a report from Provost Search Committee Chair Carrie Besnette and member Shawn Worthy who will conduct a site visit on July 13 at California State University - San Marcos where Golich is dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.

Jordan said that his decision to narrow the field to Golich was based on the feedback he received from faculty, staff and students, additional feedback he sought from College leaders, and on his own meetings with her.

“Dr. Golich’s experience with general education programs and graduate programs as well as her management style are what Metro State needs right now,” Jordan says, adding that his intention is to have a provost in place before the start of the fall semester.
