The search to fill the position of provost and vice president of
academic affairs continues on schedule with the search committee
meeting Sept. 23 to review applications brought forward by the search
firm, Storbeck/Pimentel & Associates.
“President Jordan and the senior leadership team remain committed to
finding the most qualified and best fit for our College,” says
Institutional Advancement Vice President Carrie Besnette, who is
chairing the search committee. “I am very aware of the importance of
the committee’s work in this regard and appreciative of the members’
commitment to our charge from Dr. Jordan.”
After narrowing the field of candidates down to seven to 10
semifinalists, the committee will conduct telephone interviews in early
October. Two to four finalists will then be named and brought to campus
for college-wide interviews. Besnette, as chair of the search
committee, will visit the home campuses of the finalists as well.
“We are working toward completing our process and naming a candidate by the end of the fall term,” Besnette adds.
