An electronics recycling event Thursday and Friday will help reduce the amount of electronic waste that ends up in landfills.
Organized by a number of state agencies and sponsored by Best Buy
and Guaranteed Recycling Xperts, the event allows all state employees
to get rid of unwanted electronics at no charge. Normally, recycling
fees can range between cents per pound or up to $20 per item.
Acceptable items include cell phones, batteries, computers, DVD
players, stereo equipment, printer/fax machines or generally anything
that plugs into the wall, with the exception of refrigerators, freezers
or air conditioners.
State employees, including those from Metro State, can visit the
following two drop-off locations, both conveniently located near RTD
Park-N-Ride stations, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sept. 4-5.
North Denver
Division of Wildlife Parking Lot
6060 Broadway

South Denver
