Designer on board for Student Success Building
Aug 19, 2009

Metro State has selected the design firm for the Student Success Building, scheduled to be completed April 2012.

RNL, an international architecture, planning, interior design and landscape architecture firm, was chosen out of 20 submissions from local and national organizations. The selection committee included representatives from Institutional Advancement, Student Services, Finance and Administration, the Provost’s Office, the SPARC Committee and Auraria Planning.

RNL is charged with the design of the building and the landscaping. The firm will also be responsible for developing a plan to fill the vacant space in West Classroom, Central Classroom and the Administration Building that will result when the new building is occupied.

The four-story Student Success Building will have 143,000 square feet and include a central quad, pathways, courtyards and gathering areas. It will be the first building in the Metro State Neighborhood and located west of the TAPS parking garage along Auraria Pkwy.
