Roadrunners ranked nationally in preseason polls

Metro State’s soccer teams are nationally ranked in preseason polls.

The women's team opens their season ranked No. 3 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas top-25 preseason poll when they face Nebraska-Kearney at home in a 5 p..m. game Aug. 28.

The men's team faces the University of Mary (N.D.). on Aug. 29 at 1 p.m. in their home opener ranked No. 21 in the NSCAA/adidas top-25 preseason poll.

Volleyball chosen to finish 2nd in RMAC
The Metro State volleyball team was picked to finish second behind Nebraska-Kearney in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) East Division in the conference’s preseason coaches poll. Western New Mexico was picked to win the West Division.

In addition senior Amy Watanabe was chosen as the RMAC Preseason Defensive Player of the Year and sophomore Bri Morley was one of seven players selected to the preseason all-conference team.
