The way students now use their University-issued student photo ID as an RTD (Regional Transportation District) pass for the bus and light rail is changing this month. Instead of a sticker on their school photo ID, registered students will need to get the new RTD College Pass smart card.
To get the new RTD smart card for this 2013 spring semester, students must bring a copy of their spring 2013 class schedule and their current University-issued student photo ID to the Tivoli Student Union Multicultural Lounge at the following dates and times:
Monday, Jan. 7 through Saturday, Jan. 19 and Jan. 22
· Monday – Thursday: 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
· Friday: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
· Saturday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Students who are unable to pick up their RTD smart card during the times listed above should bring their spring schedule and MSU Denver photo ID to the ID office in the Tivoli Student Union after Jan 22.
RTD is promoting this new student card as an easier way to use their transportation services. The actual services will not change. For more information visit the RTD website.
