Check presentation kicks off Science Building celebrations

At the Auraria Science Building ribbon-cutting ceremony this Friday, Metro State will pay its own tribute to the sciences.
On Friday, Aug. 20, President Stephen Jordan will host a continental breakfast, featuring a check presentation from engineering technology alumna ('90) and EchoStar senior test engineer Lisa Moder. Moder will present the $10,000 educational grant she received for being named 2010 Test Engineer of the Year by Test & Measurement World magazine to Jordan and the Department of Engineering Technology.
Following will be the official ribbon-cutting ceremony with a host of higher education leaders and state dignitaries, including Mayor John Hickenlooper and Gov. Bill Ritter.
