Two campus maintenance projects are scheduled in the coming days.Asbestos survey
An asbestos survey will be conducted in
the Arts Building and the north and south chiller plants beginning
Friday, Aug. 1, and should be completed on or before Aug. 10.
Samples will be collected from multiple areas inside these buildings
according to Colorado Department of Public Health and Environmental
regulations and industry standards. As the collection process will not
cause any release of asbestos into the air, it is acceptable for
students and staff to be in the building during the survey.Daily
operations within these buildings will not be affected.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this process, please
contact David Krajicek, environmental health and safety department
manager, at 303-556-8397 or krajicekd@ahec.edu.
King Center 1st floor resurfacing
The elevators,
restrooms and vending areas of the first floor in the King Center will
be closed off Aug. 4-8 for floor resurfacing.

mezzanine level through the south main entrance nearest St. Cajetan’s
Center. First-floor classrooms will be accessible from the exterior of
the building or from the north main entrance nearest the Tivoli. The
interior stairs will be open.
Directional signage will help direct foot traffic.
