Metro State, along with other Colorado higher education
institutions, is hosting the first SACNAS Rocky Mountain Regional
Meeting on the Auraria Campus Aug. 28-29.
The Society for Advancing Hispanics/Chicanos and Native Americans in
Science is dedicated to fostering the success of Hispanic/Chicano and
Native American scientists, including college students and
professionals, to attain advanced degrees, careers and positions of
leadership.
The two-day event features a series of scientific and networking
workshops designed to engage college students and science professionals
by promoting networking, scientific writing and professional
development by both student researchers and professionals. A variety of
scientists from the Rocky Mountain Region will attend and speak.
Registration for college students and professionals is $35. The fee
is waived for high school students. To learn more about possible
