Auraria changes rules for scooter parking
Aug 13, 2008

Scooters with engines smaller than 50cc’s can now be parked for free at any bike rack on the Auraria Campus. Scooter riders, however, must abide by the bikes, scooters, blades and boards rules and regulations available at http://www.ahec.edu/. Those who fail to follow these guidelines can be issued a ticket by the Auraria Campus Police Department.

Scooters with engines of 50cc’s or larger are still required to pay for parking in the designated motorcycle lots (E, H and R). Riders are encouraged to:

1. Watch out for pedestrians
2. Drive only on designated roadways
3. Use locks
4. Not cause an obstruction to or impede the flow of pedestrians on public or private sidewalks
5. Dismount in pedestrian-only zones
6. Park scooters at bike racks in the following locations:

North side of Tivoli near the Tivoli Auraria Parking Structure
At the bike rack in front of the PTC, off Lawrence Way
At the bike rack on the north side of the Administration Building
