With a big snowstorm on Sunday and another one possibly on the way tomorrow, now is a good time to remind faculty, staff and students that Metropolitan State University of Denver’s emergency notification system (ENS) includes alerts when the Auraria Campus is closed.

Sign up for the ENS, a system provided by Rave Mobile Safety, and you’ll receive an alert via SMS text message when there is an active shooter, fire, bomb threat, weather-related emergency or other events. All the institutions on the Auraria Campus are part of this system.

There is no charge from Rave or the University for this service; however, depending on your carrier plan, standard or text-messaging charges may apply.

It’s also a good time to revisit Auraria’s campus closure policy.
