Greek organization celebrates longevity on Auraria Campus
Nov 4, 2009

On Thursday, Oct. 22, the Eta Chapter of the Lambda Theta Nu Sorority, Inc. celebrated 15 years on the Auraria Campus, serving both Metro State and CU Denver. It is the oldest Greek organization on campus.

Lambda Theta Nu Sorority Inc. was founded at California State University, Chico on March 18, 1986. Since that time the sorority has helped motivate young women to excel in higher education, community service and sisterhood. The sorority is a founding member of the National Association for Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO).

“We were originally Latino-based but we grew multi-cultural,” says Chapter President Carolyn Campos. “Lots of our ladies come from homes that are first generation [to college]. Through Greek life we are able to provide a network on campus so they can have a college experience.”
