The Health Center at Auraria will be offering 100 seasonal flu
shots for Auraria students, staff or faculty on Monday, Oct. 12,
starting at 10 a.m. at Suite 150 in the Plaza Building. They will be
offered until they are gone. The cost is $20.00 (cash or check only).
No insurance can be accepted.
Due to high demand and a national shortage of seasonal flu
vaccine, those who are considered high risk and need this shot, should
plan to be in line early. High Risk include: medical or emergency
providers, individuals up to 18 years old, those 50 years old or
greater, women who are pregnant, and those with chronic health
conditions such as lung disease, diabetes, blood or immune disorders.
