General Support Group
This group is open to both males and females and is designed to provide feedback and support on issues that are often troubling to students. These may involve making important decisions, becoming independent, developing interpersonal skills, or just what it takes to succeed at college.
Days: Wednesdays, February 20th. to March 26th.

Social Skills Group
If you tend to get nervous, anxious, or shy around others and it gets in your way of participating in social events, then this group is for you. There will be focus on getting you more relaxed, more prepared and more confident for a variety of social situations.

Students of Color Support
While every individual has his/her own unique experiences, often people of color have different challenges as they navigate life. This group is designed for students who identify as persons of color. It will provide a forum to share stories, explore racial/cultural identity, and provide support. other topics of discussion include dating, family relationships, and acdemic concerns.

Do I really Have To Quit?" Support Group
Drugs and alcohol are problems if they cause problems in any part of your lif- -your health, your work or your home. Do you think about drinking all the time? Have you tried to quit or cut down without luck? Do you drink more than you intended to? If so, the first step is realizing that you control your own behavior. Join this group to understand why you abuse substances, recognize your patterns, learn how your life is impacted, and gain the skills you need to make positive changes.

Women's Support Group
This group is for female students who would like to better understand themselves and others, manage stress, or work through a difficult issue. Common topics discussed in the group include assertive communication, improving relationships, and increasing self-esteem.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
DBT teaches four important skills to help you improve your relationships, end self-defeating behaviors, and manage your emotions. The four skills that you will be taught and also practice during this 6-week group include mindfulness, interpersonal skills, controlling your emotions, and coping with difficult situations.

G-L-B Relationship Group
This gay, lesbian, and bi-sexual support group focuses on how we relate to ourselves, our partners, our families, & our friends. We will explore our relationship with ourselves and how this directly relates to the health of our relationships to the important people in our lives. Topics will include relationships and dating, empowerment, self-esteem, gay development, religion, trust, family, safe sex, boundaries, being out, and others.

The 21st Century Man Support Group
This group offers opportunities for support and personal growth and will facilitate awareness of oneself and the changing role of men in the 21st Century. The group will meet weekly to discuss a wide variety of issues including relationships, academics, stress, sexuality, and male roles.

Affected by the War in Iraq?
This is a drop-in support group for those who have significant others in Iraq and surrounding areas, or for those who have returned home from assignment. We will explore issues and feelings that are often hard to discuss amongst family and friends.

Effective Communication with Your Professor
Being able to effectively communicate with your professors is important to your success as a college student. In this workshop we will discuss strategies for advocating for yourself in order to improve your academic experience and performance.

Moving On After a Break-Up
Ending a romantic relationship can be very painful and we are often unprepared for the variety of emotions we experience. In this workshop we will discuss ways to cope with the feelings and prepare ourselves for future relationships.

Improving Your Self-Esteem
In this workshop we will examine the factors that shape self-esteem and learn strategies to enhance it. We will discuss how to acknowledge your strengths which will allow you to be happier with yourself.
