I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in the wood, and I
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Welcome!
Welcome to the Outdoor Adventure (OA) program at Campus Recreation at
Auraria. We offer leadership development and team build both here on
the Auraria Campus and off campus at many different and beautiful locations.
Leadership development activities include kayaking, backpacking, mountain
climbing and more! If you are interested in team building activities
and retreats we can help. We are eager to work with your group to facilitate
team-building activities. We will even arrange transportation and book
lodging for you and your group, if you like. Please take a moment to browse
through our brochure, if you see something that interests you, give us
a call, we will gladly answer any questions you may have.
Why Outdoor Adventure?
The Outdoor Adventure program exists to provide the students, faculty
and staff of CCD, UCD, MSCD and AHEC with noncredit instructional courses,
leadership and teambuilding activities. Activities are run on a nonprofit,
break even basis as a benefit to the student of the Auraria Campus. Fees
collected are applied to the cost of the activity and to the cost of equipment
replacement.
Leadership and Skill in the Wilderness
Outings facilitate leadership development and skill acquisition in a
wilderness setting. Leadership issues addressed include leadership style,
courage, communication and leadership development. Skill acquisition,
challenge and participation form the framework in which leadership development
occurs. Extending ones self intellectually and physically in a new environment
while developing trust with group members is key to teambuilding and leadership
in the wilderness setting.
