Seat Adjustments

Adjusting your seat:
The position of your seat is key to riding pleasure and skill. It might be a good idea to talk to your local bike shop mechanic about proper fit and adjustment.

There are two set screws on most seat post/seat assemblies.
The screw labeled must be loosened to adjust the height of the seat (A) and to align the seat with the top tube (B).

The Screw labeled must be loosened to adjust the distance of the seat from the handle bars (C) and to adjust the tilt of the seat.

Guidelines to proper seat adjustment:
1. Align seat with the top tube
2. Adjust height to assure slight angle or bend in the knee when peddle is in lowest the position. Be careful not to exceed height limit of seat post (most have an indicator stamped onto tube)
3. A slight tilt forward may help relieve some saddle discomfort but may transfer pressure to the arms and shoulders, causing fatigue.
4. Seat distance from han
dlebars is based on personal preference. If you experience shoulder fatigue, try moving your seat forward. Ask an expert to assist you with this fit.

After adjusting your seat, assure that the set screws are adequately re-tightened.
