Kayak Pool Series-
Outline of Material to be Covered

Welcome to the kayak pool series, a total of six hours dedicated to learning the basic skills necessary to move on to kayaking on the river. This course is not designed to make you an expert at river kayaking, the intent facilitate your acquisition of kayaking techniques in a pool environment. We will spend time learning many kayak techniques including the Eskimo roll but we will also spend time on the paddle strokes that every kayaker uses on the river, including those listed below.

We will learn by doing, by playing in the boats and trying new things.  We encourage you to push yourself but don’t feel pressured to do anything that you aren’t comfortable with.  Safety is our number one concern. Learning will occur naturally in a fun, safe environment where you set the pace. The instructors are here to instruct, facilitate and encourage - so lets have fun with it!
