BACHELOR OF SCIENCE
ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY

Concentrations within the Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) degree allow students to become educationally stronger in a specified area of expertise and replace the requirement of a college minor. Students choosing a minor outside of the EET program require prior approval of the minor by an EET advisor.

(only one area needs to be chosen):

COMPUTER ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY CONCENTRATION

                                                   Semester Hours
Required as a Arts and Letters General Studies Course for 
this Concentration: PHI 3360* Business Ethics, or 
PHI 3370* Computers, Ethics, and Society, or PHI 1030* Ethics.3
* These courses count toward General College Requirements. 
The following courses replace core requirements:

EET 3350 Embedded Applications Using C++ (Replaces EET 2350). 3
EET 4340 Interface Techniques (Required EET elective)........ 3
EET 4370 Microcontrollers (Required EET elective)............ 3
Three hours chosen from: EET 3690, EET 4320, or 
         EET 4330 (Replaces EET 3120)........................ 3
CS 1050 Computer Science 1 (Replaces EET 1001/elective**).... 4
** Students with weak mathematics skills should still be 
   advised to take EET 1001 to improve retention in EET 1140.
