Second Degree Requirements
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE
ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY
For an additional bachelor's degree, students must comply with the following:
- The first bachelor's degree must be recognized by Metro State.
- General Studies will be considered complete unless deficiencies exist according to the major department.
- Students must complete all requirements for a new major with a minimum of eight Metro State classroom upper-division semester hours in the major department.
- Students do not need to complete a minor unless specifically required by the major department for the contemplated degree.
- Students must satisfy the Multicultural and Senior Experience course requirements for the second degree, if not fulfilled in the first degree.
- Students must spend at least two additional semesters in residence.
- A minimum of 30 semester hours of Metro State classroom credit after the awarding of the previous degree.
- Credit limitations for a bachelor's degree will continue to exist for the second degree.
- An Application for Graduation must be submitted to the Office of the Registrar by the deadline stipulated in the Class Schedule.
The following courses may be met prior to second degree, as long as the above conditions are met.
Additional Requirements for EET Second Degree Majors:
- Any course used to satisfy a prerequisite for an EET course must have a grade of "C" or better.
- Achieve a cumulative GPA of 2.0 for all courses that satisfy the Metro State General Studies requirement.

- An EET concentration is recommended for better job placement, but not required.
- A minor is not required. EET considers the first degree as meeting the minor or concentration requirement.
- If the number required courses met prior to second degree leaves the student with less than 30 hours required by the college, EET electives or EET concentration may be used to fill out the 30 hours minimum requirement.
