Due to limited space, this summit is by invitation only.
Our goal is to have representation from all 50 states.
This first Summit is designed for those currently working with parents with cognitive challenges who have a specific curriculum, program model, program evaluation, research finding, parent assessment model, or audio visual material to share.
Invitees include those working in the fields of parent education, parent support, child protection, public health, and disabilities services, including attorneys, advocates representing parents and children, developmental disabilities councils, and disabilities rights advocates.
The major purpose of the Summit is to identify resources nationally. The Summit will offer networking and educational opportunities; promote advocacy and on-going systems change; and best practices designed to increase the capability and capacity of all families.
There will be workshops and presentations about the challenges of providing supportive services to parents who have cognitive challenges and their families.
